2. Language Exchange
Program

Foreign students can make friends with Korean
students at Korea University through the Language Exchange Program.
The program serves as a good opportunity to learn the Korean
culture from Koreans and apply what you have learned in class
to real life. Those who want to take part in the program should
sign up at the KLCC. |
3. Health Assistance

Participants in the Korean Language and Culture
Program can receive high quality medical treatments at a relatively
low cost at Korea University's Health Clinic. However, those
who require frequent medical attention should take out a travel
insurance policy before leaving their home countries. |
4. Housing
(1) Boarding House: Boarding houses are available within 5 to 10 minutes'
walking distance from the Korea University campus. US $400 to 450
a month covers a single room, two meals (breakfast and dinner) a day,
and laundry services. We can help you find a suitable boarding house.
(2) Dormitory: Unfortunately, students enrolled in the regular program
and afternoon . evening program cannot use school dormitories. However,
those participating in the Special Summer Programs (between July and
August) can get a dorm room on a first-come-first-served basis.
5. Korea's Climate

Korea lies in the Temperate Zone and has 4 distinct
seasons: Spring (March to May), Summer (June to August), Fall
(September to October), and Winter(November to February). The
average temperature ranges from 10 to 16¡É, but the average temperature
January drops to -1¡É, and the average in August, the hottest
month of the year, can get up to 30¡É. The rainy season comes
at the end of June and lasts for about 20 days. Make sure to
pack according to the season. Those planning to stay in Korea
for more than a year should come prepared with clothes and items
necessary for each season. |
6. Transportation to Korea University

The Korean Language & Culture Center is at
the International Studies Hall Building(#210) in Korea University
Anam Campus. Located in Anam-Dong Sungbuk-Ku Seoul, Korea University
is easy to access through public transportation.
¡á Subway Get on the subway line number 6 and get off at the
Anam station or Korea University station. It is more convenient
to get off at Anam station, go out through the number 2 exit,
and enter through the west post of Korea University to visit
the International Studies Hall in Anam Campus.
¡á Bus Line via Korea University Seat Bus : No. 2, 30-1 City
Bus : No. 7, 11, 19, 28, 30, 30-1, 34, 38, 803
¡á Village Bus Get off at Sungshin Women's University station
of subway line number 4 and then take Bus 406, or Shinseuldong
station of subway line number 1 and get on Bus 6, to Korea
University, and get off at Entrance of Kaeun Temple. |
